Thermal management of electric drives

Thermal system design for electric drives and battery systems - CFD-supported, validated, ready for series production. For us, thermal management is not rework, but part of the system architecture right from the start. No electric drive works without well thought-out cooling.

Interface clarification in the complete vehicle

Mechanical, electrical and thermal integration of the drive system into the target system. We understand and manage the requirements – also in cooperation with other partners. Design for Manufacturing ensures series production capability right from the start.

Electric drive development under real conditions.

ABT e-Line placed the highest demands on the electrical system architecture and integration into the vehicle. We developed the high-voltage solution, designed it thermally, validated it and transferred it to series production. The vehicle drives – the line runs.

What OEMs ask before starting a project.

Under concept and series development, we focus on automotive and commercial vehicles. For off-highway ePowertrain systems, our individual battery and ePowertrain solutions are available under battery systems.

CFD-supported simulation in pre-development, followed by validation on our own test bench up to 1.1 MW and -40 to 90 °C. For us, thermal design is not rework, but part of the system architecture.

Yes, we understand and manage requirements in collaboration with other partners if necessary – as a fully responsible development partner that keeps an eye on all interfaces.
